On the Cover: Francesco Francavilla

Francesco Francavilla started his comics career in his homeland of italy, but it wasn't long before he was noticed by the western comics industry. Best known for his work on Dynamite's Zorro and Detective Comics for DC, Francavilla's style is perfect for comics. Heavily influenced by pulp images and old movie posters, His work stands out both artistically and from a design point of view. check out a sampling of his cover work after the jump!



This cover just screams 1960's horror film. The design and logo work are flawless.

I love the composition on the below cover. the vivid yellow immediately draws your eye down, and then you look up and your face to face with Captain America. Superb design.
