Angel and Faith #10
This is a really fun issue and a gorgeous looking one at that! Chris Samnee! That's all the hook you need!
I hope he stays awhile in this book (no offence to the current artist.) This issue almost reads like a done in one. What with some unexpected visitors into Faith's humble abode. We then stumble upon some very interesting characters and delve into the secret history of another.
I really love this new direction that witch lade has taken. Her being out of her comfort zone and working as a private eye would be far more flexible to use in future arcs. This is the acid test for the new creative team and so far, I really feel that they have lived up to the standards set by previous creators...if not surpassed it.
Writing wise, perfect.
My co favorite along with Angel And Faith for pick of the week. Witchblade is in my top five list of books that you could add to your pull list outside of the big two. The new direction that this book took after the 150th issue is a perfect jumping on point for new readers. It feels fresh and fun. Thats the overall atmosphere that I got as I was reading this book. And those are two important ingredients that I look for in every new comic that I read. I have already enjoyed the little that I read from Tim Seeley. And this story is interesting as Sarah deals with a threat that is somewhat a distorted version of her own Witchblade.
From Image - The New Year brings a slew of fresh starts and Witchblade bearer, Sara Pezzini, is no exception. Pezzini will start 2012 in Chicago with a new job and brand new life, thanks to the fresh ongoing creative team of Tim Seeley (HACK/SLASH) and Diego Bernard (The Man With No Name).
Sara Pezzini has always been a born and bred New York City detective, in addition to wielding the ancient Artifacts, the Witchblade.
