Review: Word Girl: Word Up

This is a beautifully written and beautifully drawn comic that is the perfect gift for the young comic reader in your life.

 Even though the protagonist is a young girl, and I guess some parents might be hesitant to give something like this to their sons, I think that  this all ages comic will be enjoyed even by young boys.  Its kinda funny though, almost like a gag, the way the writers have food as the theme for the two stories within the comic
. And to live up to the title, Word Girl actually teaches you the proper usage of words!  And there's even a mini dictionary at the end!  This is a great comic experience for kids.  I hope it eventually finds its way inside schools and libraries.  Good effort.  Good cheeky fun.
