NBC
Picks Up ‘Community’
For Season 5
Finally,
we got some good news on the situation of the popular neo-comedy
sitcom “Community.”
NBC confirmed on Friday that the show will be back for a fifth
season. Due to NBC giving show runner Dan Harmon the pink slip, Chevy
Chase losing his mind, and the ratings for the fourth season being so
low. Many fans of the series feared it would be cancelled. With “30
Rock” and “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation” being the
only other popular and marketable sitcom on the network, NBC needed
to pick up “Community” to rebuild their sitcom programming. The
show generates lots of positive buzz and good DVD and Netflix numbers
did help out too. So, if you’re a fan of this series, cheer up,
you’ll be getting another season at Greendale Community College.
